Design
Nokia Power Earbuds Lite boasts an in-ear design without stems, featuring silicone ear tips and a moderately large body. While providing three sizes of ear tips, the earphones' body itself may be slightly smaller. The buds are lightweight, but the larger size might not universally suit all ears. For average users and those with larger ears, they offer a fit ranging from decent to large.
In simple terms, this case stands out as one of the best in its price range. The blend of curved and flat edges allows Nokia Power Earbuds Lite's case to have smooth curves while still lying flat on a surface. The minimalistic matte black finish and a small Nokia logo offset on the front give it a premium appearance.
On the back is the USB-C port, with the LED indicator and charging dock nestled inside. Enhancing the build quality of the outer shell, the hinge is robust. No creaking or wobbling here. During charging, the earphones effortlessly fall into place, fitting snugly, and are easily pulled out when you want to pop them into your ears.
Connectivity and Features
Nokia Power Earbuds Lite effortlessly connects whether you're using one or both buttons simultaneously. While there's no quick pairing feature, the connection seamlessly happens once you manually pair the buds with your phone. The buds connect to each other and to your phone the moment you place them in your ears. The range is as good as it gets.
Nokia Power Earbuds Lite also excels in touch-based gestures. The touch gestures are genuinely responsive and will never miss a touch in the right spot. This also means you might accidentally pause music, skip to the next track, or end a call if you're using the speakers while lying down.
The combination of single, double, and triple taps on the left and right buds ensures you can control volume, play or pause your music, answer, end, or reject calls, and switch to the previous or next track. This is fantastic as we often find some earphones in this segment allow you to control fewer elements.
Call Quality and Sound
Nokia Power Earbuds Lite, as an in-ear type, offers good sound in this segment, although not the best. The audio signals are balanced, providing a punch that is just right when the beat drops in Imagine Dragons' 'Radioactive.' Vocals come through clear and undistorted in Evanescence's 'My Immortal' or Billie Eilish's 'Lovely.'
Driver Size and Music Separation
However, the smaller 6mm drivers fall short when examining aspects like device separation in music. Bass enthusiasts may sometimes feel a lack of punch due to this. These factors don't necessarily make Nokia Power Earbuds Lite a bad pair of TWS earphones, but it's worth noting as some of its competitors like OnePlus Buds Z have larger 10mm drivers.
Call Quality and Noise Cancellation
On the flip side, call quality is quite good on Nokia Power Earbuds Lite, although lacking features like active noise cancellation. However, strong winds and heavy traffic can still disrupt your call experience.
Battery Life
Nokia Power Earbuds Lite claims a 35-hour battery life with just one charge for the buds and the case. In a single sitting, the earphones themselves can provide up to 4.5 to over 5 hours of music playback, which is quite impressive. These claims are mostly true. Also, it's worth noting that we only charged the earphones once during the week-long testing period.
Impressive Sound and Design
Nokia Power Earbuds Lite stands out as a truly wireless pair with excellent sound and a fantastic appearance, but it lags behind in audio quality compared to its competitors. Keep in mind that these earphones also come at a slightly higher price than OnePlus Buds Z or Realme Buds Air 2, making this aspect more prominent.
