Visit Bai Dinh Pagoda - the temple with the most records in Vietnam
Bai Dinh Pagoda, located in the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, about 15 km from Ninh Binh city, is situated in the west of the ancient capital of Hoa Lu. It is the largest pagoda in Vietnam, known for numerous records such as the largest bronze Buddha statue in Southeast Asia, the largest bronze bell in Southeast Asia, the hallway with the most Buddha statues...
Here, there are hundreds of Arhat statues placed along the entrance and exit path of the pagoda. Passing by each statue, many people often reach out to touch them, hoping for good things in life.
The pagoda has main attractions such as the Three Gates, bell tower, Quan Am hall, Phap Chu hall, and Tam The hall. To reach each attraction, you have to walk through a quite long path, mostly consisting of stairs. This is a way to demonstrate patience and the desire to set foot in the tranquil place of human beings.
Admire the majestic landscape from Mua Cave
Mua Cave is located at the foot of Mua Mountain in the eco-tourism area of Khe Dau Ha village, Ninh Xuan commune, Hoa Lu district, Ninh Binh province. This place is known as the “poem of Tam Coc” or the “Vietnam's great wall” with its majestic scenery. To reach the top of Mua Cave, you have to climb 486 stone steps. From the mountain top, we can admire the entire beauty of the Tam Coc area with endless green rice fields.
Take a boat ride in Trang An
Trang An is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Ninh Binh today. Its pristine and stunning natural scenery has been recognized by UNESCO as a world natural and cultural heritage site. The scenery here is created by a winding river flowing through limestone mountain ranges, forming countless mysterious and magical natural caves.
Explore the indigenous village
The Kong: Skull Island film set area is recreated within the Trang An ecological complex in Ninh Binh. To reach the village, you'll have to cross a small island, then a series of temples where signs will guide you to the film set entrance. Climbing up about a hundred steps will lead you to the exhibition area - where a replica of the explorer's ship from the movie is displayed. Crossing the boat takes you to the indigenous village!
The indigenous village recreated in Ninh Binh consists of about 40 bamboo huts built on stilts. They are all situated on a fairly large ground. They are built alternately on both sides, with a stone path in the middle.
Another special thing is that many locals have dressed up exactly like the indigenous people in the movie, from their faces to their costumes and sitting inside the huts. So, visitors feel like they are living... in the movie!
Freedom to explore Hanoi
Hanoi is the millennium-old capital with ancient relics and tranquil life. If you've visited Hanoi once, you surely can't forget the distinctive atmosphere here, with Hoan Kiem Lake, West Lake, quiet cafes, narrow streets, and street vendors. One of the unique features of Hanoi tourism is the cyclo in the old quarter. Many tourists choose this means of transportation to explore the ancient beauty on each street amidst the bustling and vibrant Hanoi.
