After the rice pops, you can enjoy it immediately or add sugar for a sweet taste. To make a batch of sugared rice, start by selecting a large pan and adding sugar, a small amount of finely sliced ginger. Heat the mixture on the stove, stirring until the sugar turns into a visually pleasing liquid with a golden hue. Then, pour the rice into the pan, using two large bamboo chopsticks to quickly stir the contents, ensuring that the rice grains stick together smoothly with the sweet aroma of sugar. Without delay, transfer the sugared rice from the pan to a wooden mold (or a tray indoors) with a thickness of about 3cm. Optionally, sprinkle a layer of roasted peanuts and evenly roll the rice with a thin stick. After waiting a few minutes for the rice block to solidify and cool slightly, use a sharp knife to cut the block into small pieces with horizontal and vertical cuts, creating bite-sized portions.
