Although it's a relatively basic feature that has appeared before, the ability to save songs, playlists, and albums for offline listening is now available on YouTube Music
Now you can save individual song and album playlists on YouTube Music for offline listening
To save a song for offline listening, simply find the song you want to save, tap on the Save to offline videos option, then choose the file format you want to use for saving the song. Your options include: audio only, medium (360p), and HD (720p). After selecting the file format, YouTube Music will set that as the default format for saving the songs you choose in the future. Of course, you can also change this option in Settings if you wish.
YouTube Music supports saving individual song playlists for offline listening
To listen to all the downloaded songs, go to your account page and select the Offline option. Here, you can see a list of all the songs, playlists, and albums you've saved on your device for offline listening when you don't have a data connection.
Previously, YouTube Music allowed users to save music offline through the Offline Mixtape feature. However, the songs saved automatically were based on your listening habits and songs that Google thought you might like to hear.
Now you can save individual song and album playlists on YouTube Music for offline listening
Instead of searching for ways to download music from YouTube, downloading music on YouTube Music allows you to choose and save each song and album you want to listen to offline. No need to go through the hassle of downloading apps to get music from YouTube as before.
