Nuguri's surprising increase in ranked gaming dedication has been noticeable in recent days.
During the last transfer window of the 2021 season, LCK witnessed considerable upheaval. Most top teams like T1, Gen.G Esports, DWG KIA, Nongshim RedForce, Hanwha Life Esports... underwent significant personnel changes. Among them, reigning LCK champions - DK, underwent almost a complete roster overhaul, retaining only the core duo of ShowMaker - Canyon.

Besides Ghost - BeryL's departure, DK also failed to secure Nuguri's return as many speculated. The former FunPlus Phoenix player opted for a break after a tumultuous season in the LPL and Worlds 2021. Nuguri's absence is deeply regrettable, and currently, DK is facing numerous challenges as the two players they acquired in the last transfer window for the top lane position, Hoya and Burdol, are yet to hit their peak form.

Recently, it has been observed that Nuguri has started to try-hard in ranked games more frequently in the past 3-4 days. During the break, Nuguri has played ranked games before, but the frequency was relatively low, and it's only in the past 2 days or so that the former DK star has been consistently playing. Notably, based on match history, on January 22nd (Vietnam time), Nuguri played a whopping 11 ranked games.

This could be seen as a move indicating that Nuguri may return soon. Additionally, in the current 2022 season, LCK allows transfers even while the season is ongoing. Nuguri's frequent try-hard in ranked games could be a sign that the Bull Emperor will soon return, likely wearing the DK jersey once again.
If Nuguri truly makes a comeback, it will bring immense joy to DK, while also making their upcoming matches in the LCK more exciting. However, with the current meta revolving around the bot lane, Nuguri might struggle to receive the same level of resources as before. Not to mention, he has been away from the professional scene for some time and will face many challenges in regaining his form.
As for DK, the reigning LCK champions of 2021 haven't been performing particularly well as they've lost 2 out of 4 matches since the beginning of the season. Especially, the top lane duo of Hoya - Burdol hasn't been outstanding and is considered one of the main reasons for DK's fluctuations in the past 2 weeks of competition.
