1. Fixing OBS Video Recording Without Audio
Assuming you're using the default multimedia player on Windows, Windows Media Player, to open the video file you recorded with OBS and finding no audio, the cause might be a glitch in this player. Try using a different multimedia player like VLC, for example, and check if the video has audio or not.
2. Troubleshooting Output Audio Device Issue
Even though the microphone icon appears on the screen during video recording or livestreaming with OBS, the output file ends up being silent, with no audio.
If you're using macOS and encountering this issue, the solution is to install an additional program called iShowU to record audio.
3. OBS Issue: Gameplay Clip Recording Without Audio
Below are some ways to fix the issue of videos and gameplay clips recording without audio:
- If you're using the 64-bit version of Windows, make sure to install the correct version of OBS 64-bit.
- Another method is to try setting the speaker as the default device in the sound settings instead of selecting the headphone option.

+ Mic / Aux audio should be set to Mic.

+ Mic / Aux should be set to Track 1 and Monitor & Output.
+ Desktop Audio should be set to Track 2 and Monitor and Output.
Step 3: In the OBS Advanced settings window:
+ Audio Monitoring Device should be set to Headphones.
6. OBS Issue: Not Recording Audio, Headphone Sound

Step 1: Ensure all input devices are plugged in correctly.
Step 2: Select input and output devices in the Settings under Audio.
Step 3: In the settings window, you'll find a menu called Monitor off. In this menu, select the content you want OBS to record.
Step 4: Additionally, in the Advanced Audio Properties window, you can check the Mixer option to mix sound from speakers and microphone.
Step 5: Exclude all options except for Track box option in both Mic and Desktop Audio sections.
