Oda wins major award in Italy
At the Napoli Comicon 2022 event in Italy, author Eiichiro Oda was honored by the artistic council with the 'Lifetime Achievement Award' for the manga One Piece.

Instead of expressing gratitude, Oda presented the Napoli Comicon event with a painting of Luffy enjoying pizza, a prominent dish in this country, along with the message: 'Hello, friends from Italy! I sincerely thank you!' In the land of the boot, the One Piece series is currently published by Star Comics, with impressive sales and a massive fan base. The manga One Piece in Italy has also surpassed the milestone of 100 volumes, similar to Japan.
One Piece high-speed roller coaster to debut in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the manga's release
According to Siliconera's report, Universal Studios Japan and One Piece are collaborating on several projects to promote the upcoming One Piece Film: Red and celebrate the 25th anniversary of Eiichiro Oda's original manga. Images of the Straw Hat Pirates will grace the park from July 1 to October 2 this year. Notably, a themed roller coaster will come to life in July.

Specifically, the high-speed coaster named 'One Piece X Hollywood Dream the Ride - Departure! Mini Merry II' will be constructed around Universal Studios Japan's renowned Hollywood Dream roller coaster. This coaster will feature new Merry II-themed decorations, the ship crafted by Franky. Remarkably, the sound on the coaster will include the most impressive scenes from the anime and the theme song of One Piece Film: Red.
Sanji's restaurant opens in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the manga's release
As part of the event, a new restaurant named 'Sanji's Pirate Restaurant' will make its debut in the park. Specializing in French cuisine, the restaurant pays tribute to the famous blond-haired character in the series. Actors dressed as Straw Hat Pirates will also serve guests during their meals.

The central part of the 25th-anniversary celebration of the One Piece manga will be a new stage program focusing on the character Jinbei. Each 75-minute program will feature fireworks. The stage performance is based on a storyline entirely from the original manga, aiming to promote the One Piece Film: Red project. The program will also recreate significant moments from the manga and anime, including Luffy's decision to become the Pirate King.
