In terms of exterior design, the Galaxy S21 Series stands out with a fresh design language, completely different from previous generations, especially in the rear camera cluster, which is more refined, elegant, and sleek. Galaxy S21
The Samsung Galaxy S21 serves as the most basic version among the 2021 S-flagship trio. It features a 6.2-inch screen with an Infinity-O notch design, a Dynamic AMOLED panel, and supports FullHD+ resolution. This display also boasts a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz, similar to its predecessor, the S20.
On the back of the Galaxy S21 mobile phone, Samsung uses Glasstic - a completely new Polycarbonate material that not only makes it lighter but also increases scratch resistance by up to 3 times. The Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus is a comprehensive upgrade from the standard S21. The display specifications remain largely unchanged, except for a 0.5-inch increase, now reaching 6.7 inches.
On the back, the Galaxy S21 will feature premium-grade impact-resistant glass instead of Glasstic like its predecessor. All other details remain unchanged, including the camera specifications.
The battery capacity has been boosted by an additional 800mAh (4800mAh), even surpassing the previous S20 Plus, to ensure better usage duration.
Galaxy S21 Ultra
The Galaxy S21 Ultra is considered the ultimate flagship of the S series this year, with outstanding features.
Firstly, it boasts a spacious 6.8-inch display with WHD+ resolution. The screen refresh rate reaches 120Hz and is automatically adjusted based on the content you're viewing with Dynamic Refresh Rates.
The device is equipped with the Exynos 2100 chip along with options for 8/12GB of RAM, 128/256GB of storage, and a 5000mAh battery. However, this is not the most impressive aspect of this high-end Samsung phone. The detail that truly sets the S21 Ultra apart lies in its rear camera system.
We have a total of 4 lenses with the main camera resolution being 12MP, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera, a 3X optical telephoto zoom camera, and a 10X optical zoom camera.
Samsung also integrates a laser sensor to assist with autofocus alongside a dual-tone flash, enhancing the device's autofocus capabilities in various lighting conditions.
This camera cluster also offers Space Zoom capability of up to 100X. Although not entirely new, it has been optimized by the company for better usability, sharper images, and reduced distortion.
In addition, a plethora of other shooting features have emerged such as subject tracking, AI-based image stabilization when zooming, activating all cameras simultaneously, and displaying them on the main screen through Director View. Moreover, there's an automatic subject recognition algorithm for balancing light, color, reducing noise, and more.
As rumored earlier, this year's Galaxy S21 Ultra comes equipped with the legendary S Pen Pro, enabling quick note-taking and performing tasks on the phone.
In the highest-tier variant, users will only have 2 color choices: black and silver white. Accordingly, Samsung also reveals that the black version (Phantom Black) is crafted using special technology to ensure the device appears truly black from any angle.
