Awakening their Devil Fruits and jointly defeating Big Mom, many One Piece fans speculate that Kid and Law will rise as the new generation of Emperors after Luffy becomes the Pirate King. However, this might remain a challenge if the following persists.
The Wano arc witnessed a significant power boost for Kid and Law, courtesy of Oda. Both have awakened their Devil Fruits and defeated Big Mom. As contemporaries of Luffy, many One Piece fans envision Kid and Law as future counterparts to the Straw Hat captain.
While Luffy advances closer to becoming the Pirate King, Kid and Law are expected to become the new Emperors. However, this might prove difficult if Kid's crew, particularly Law's, lacks additional strong members to assist their captain in becoming an Emperor.
Regarding Kid's crew, aside from the captain, there's his first mate, Killer, a character strong enough to compete in the world of formidable pirates. He, along with other Super Rookies, has demonstrated impressive prowess in the battle against the Emperors Kaido and Big Mom. However, achieving Emperor status cannot solely rely on these two individuals in Kid's crew.
Looking at the current Emperors, we see Red-Haired Shanks' crew as a pirate group with exceptionally powerful members and a balanced force. Conversely, Big Mom and Kaido possess massive forces, structured into various tiers with very strong commanders. Therefore, if Kid's crew aims to claim dominion over a sea territory, it's evident that they need to recruit new members or establish a powerful force like Big Mom's or the Beast Pirates.
If Kid had Killer sharing responsibilities, Law's crew wouldn't lack this. At this point, almost all the strength of this crew depends on Law, other members like Bepo still haven't shown much. Perhaps they excel in saving people like a doctor rather than engaging in combat. Without progress, despite Law's strong abilities, they can't become the Four Emperors with just one person.
Meanwhile, looking at Luffy, we see the elements of an Emperor. Before joining the battle in Wano, Luffy was hailed as one of the Five Emperors in the One Piece world. It's evident that the Straw Hat crew has very powerful members and is growing stronger after the Wano arc. Besides Luffy, now Sanji, Zoro, Jinbei, Robin, and other members are formidable. Not to mention Yamato, Kaido's daughter, who could join the Straw Hat crew in the future.
Currently, Luffy has influence over many countries he has helped in the past. His current influence and strength align perfectly with the position of an Emperor. Unfortunately, Law and Kid don't have this yet.
Of course, Law and Kid's goals are different from Luffy's. It's very likely that after the Wano arc, the Super Rookie Alliance will part ways, and each will pursue their own goals. Law and Kid might not become Emperors, but with the power of these two characters, they'll be formidable rivals to Luffy in the future. What do you think about this?
