OnePlus Ace 2 Pro to Receive 3 Major Android Updates, IR Blaster, and NFC

Scheduled for launch on August 16, the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro, similar to its predecessor, is expected to deliver exceptional performance at a relatively affordable price.

Today, the Chinese company has shared with us the key features of the upcoming Ace 2 Pro phone.

OnePlus Ace 2 Pro Confirmed for 3 Major Android Updates

In a recent Weibo post, it was confirmed that the Ace 2 Pro will receive three major Android updates and four years of security patches. The smartphone will come pre-installed with the Android 13 operating system at launch, allowing users to experience the new features of Android 16.

Additionally, the post also confirmed that the smartphone will feature an in-display fingerprint sensor, an IR Blaster, and NFC support. Earlier, the brand also confirmed that the Ace 2 Pro will support Wi-Fi 7.

According to earlier reports, the upcoming OnePlus mobile will feature a 5,000mAh battery with 150W wired fast charging, a sharp 6.74-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, equipped with 24GB LPDDR5x RAM, and offer 1TB of storage. Lastly, the device will boast a premium 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor.
