OnePlus Open to be officially unveiled on 10/19

Following weeks of speculation and leaks, OnePlus recently confirmed the existence of their first foldable smartphone, the OnePlus One, and disclosed its launch date.

Accordingly, OnePlus Open will be officially launched on October 19th, coinciding with the debut of the Find N3 from .

OnePlus CEO Kinder Liu disclosed that OnePlus will introduce the OnePlus Open on October 19th. The launch event is expected to take place in Mumbai at 7:30 PM IST (around 9:00 PM the same day in Vietnam time). The OnePlus CEO stated that the upcoming product will 'elevate the foldable experience to new heights.' He further mentioned that OnePlus has spent two years researching and developing prototypes, but due to technical obstacles, the launch has been delayed.

Furthermore, OnePlus Open has been confirmed to be similar to the OPPO Find N3 set to launch on the same day in Singapore. This is because OPPO's foldable smartphone appears to be limited to sales in China.

Leaked images provide us with a sneak peek of the OnePlus Open. They confirm the presence of a warning slider along with a horizontally folding screen. Additionally, it seems that OnePlus' first foldable phone will come in a Verdant Green color option.
