Guide to Opening Folders with a Single Click Instead of a Double Click
Step 1: Press the Start button --> Control Panel
Step 2: In the Control Panel window, click on Folder Options. If you can't find it, select Small icons under View by to display more details.
Step 3: In the Folder Options window, switch to the General tab, check the box for Single-click to open an item (point to select) under Click item as follows.
Additionally, you can choose from one of the following two options:
- Consistent Underlining of Icon Titles with My Browser's Style: Pre-set underlining for folders
- Underline Icon Titles Only on Mouse Hover: Activate underlining when I hover over them
Finally, press OK to save your settings
