Respected delegates, teachers, and colleagues!

Born in a country with an agricultural civilization, relying on wet rice cultivation and handicrafts, Vietnamese women have become the main labor force. Additionally, our country has always faced invasion from enemies and a life of poverty. From this reality, Vietnamese women have developed their unique style: they are resilient and courageous soldiers against foreign invasion; hardworking, creative, and intelligent laborers; individuals playing a crucial role in preserving and developing the essence and cultural quintessence of the nation; gentle, responsible mothers who have given birth to generations of national heroes.

Under the feudal and imperial regimes, women were the oppressed class, subjected to exploitation and the most injustice, always demanding liberation and ready to follow the revolution. Women actively participated in the anti-French and anti-American movements, as well as in production labor.

Our beloved Uncle Ho once said, 'The prosperity of Vietnam is woven by Vietnamese women, young and old, in their embroidery.' In the struggle for sovereignty and during the two resistance wars against the French and the Americans, as well as in the process of building and innovating the country, Vietnamese women made immense and outstanding contributions, earning from Uncle Ho the golden eight words: 'Heroic, indomitable, industrious, and responsible.'
