Opera 44 - with the code name Reborn is currently in the testing phase and will be officially released soon. The new Opera browser will have a new interface compared to the old version 43, will be consistent across all platforms MAC OS X, Windows, Linux. Sidebar on Opera 44 Browser
Opera 44 will introduce the appearance of the Sidebar similar to Opera Neon. With the Sidebar, users will be able to quickly access new features such as Facebook Messenger chat, news viewing, quick access to bookmarks, downloads, Extension management...
Chat with Facebook Messenger right on the Sidebar
Discover a fascinating feature in the latest Opera version where you can seamlessly chat on Facebook Messenger right from the Sidebar with just a single click. This feature eliminates the need to access Facebook Messenger on touchscreen devices or in separate tabs.
Users can also split their browser screen to multitask between work and Facebook communication within Opera by simply clicking on the pin icon in the Messenger chat window corner.
For those who prefer not to utilize this feature, simply right-click on the Sidebar, uncheck the Facebook Messenger option.
Stay updated with news on the Sidebar
This feature provides users with curated news snippets from various news sources, supported across multiple languages. Users can simply click on the news icon on the Sidebar to read aggregated news directly in the browser without visiting multiple different news websites. This is similar to the feature on Microsoft's Edge browser.
You can also choose your preferred language by selecting the language option directly on the news reading page.
Similarly, if you prefer not to use this feature, you can right-click on the Sidebar, uncheck the 'Personal News' option.
Switching to a dark theme for Opera interface.
In Opera version 44, you'll default to two interface themes: light and dark, similar to Windows 10. To switch between them, follow these steps:
Step 1: Click on the Opera browser icon on the top left corner of the screen, select Settings.
Step 2: In the Settings section, choose Browser, under User interface, check Switch to Dark theme to activate the dark mode, uncheck to revert to the light theme.
