The web browser Opera 51 beta offers AppleScript support and numerous other features, including the ability to quickly scroll to the top of the current webpage with just one mouse click, redesigned Private mode for macOS, a Back to tab button for pop-up video windows, and a backup and restore mechanism for Opera configurations.

Users now have an additional backup and restore mechanism for Opera configurations to prevent undesired changes to these settings. When files exist but cannot be parsed, we will utilize alternative backup files.
Opera 51 beta also showcases a list of closed and open tabs in the tab menu, along with imported bookmarks in the Bookmark manager. It introduces a new option in Settings =>Websites =>Flash to enable all websites to utilize the Adobe Flash Player plugin. Additionally, it includes a new Reset browser settings… button in Settings => Browser allowing users to reset the Opera web browser to its default state.
AppleScript support on macOS, Chromium 64
Among other features implemented in Opera 51 beta, AppleScript support on macOS is noteworthy. This allows users to automate their workflows or create snippets for Alfred. It is integrated into the unit converter to recognize symbols such as the minus sign (e.g., -17.78 °C) and includes VTDecoderXPCService on macOS.
Opera 51 is developed based on the latest open-source Chromium 64 web browser, so the browser inherits many additional features and security features of Chromium 64.
