Developed based on Chromium 67.0.3396.87, Opera 54 introduces a feature enabling users to view local and global news directly on Speed Dial. Additionally, users can customize this feature to display news in their native language or other national languages, filter content by selecting categories, or configure the news feed on the Personal News page.
In the Opera 54 release notes, users have the option to choose from various categories to filter the content they want to see on Speed Dial. Categories include art, business, entertainment, food, health, lifestyle, living, cars, news, science, sports, technology, and travel. With over 40 languages available, users can select any language to view news content.

Added New Update & Recovery Section in the Menu
In addition to the mentioned features and enhancements, Opera 54 web browser also includes a new Update & Recovery section in the menu. This section is designed to help users update and restore the browser more easily and efficiently.
To access the Update & Recovery menu page, Linux or Windows users can click the O Menu button, or select Opera from the menu bar for macOS users.
