Opera indicates that the company has redesigned its user interface to fit larger screens. Quoting the content explaining the benefits of the new interface, posted on the Red Dot homepage:
'Internet browser for mobile platforms with a user interface designed for one-handed optimization. On most web browsers, users often have to search, enter website URLs on the Search bar located at the top corner of the screen. In general, this invisibly causes users to drop their devices.'
Opera excels and grabs the award at Red Dot Design Award 2018
With its new user interface, Opera introduces the Fast Action button located at the bottom corner of the screen, providing users with access to browser controls and the ability to search the web. On larger screens, the button is moved to a different, more accessible position.
Additionally, the browser also adds the Flow feature, allowing users to synchronize and quickly connect with the web browser on their computers to share images, links, videos, and other content across devices.
The Red Dot Award has been operating for over 60 years, and this award sets very high standards for participants. Opera has excellently surpassed 24 other competitors with over 8,600 design submissions to win the Red Dot award for 'high-quality and innovative design.'
