OPPO recently unveiled the global version of ColorOS 14, featuring a new Aquamorphic theme across the system interface with novel color options and sound effects. The launch also introduced the Trinity Engine for improved RAM and memory management across devices.

ColorOS 14: Everything to Know
Inspired by the essence of water, ColorOS 14 adopts an Aquamorphic Design language, implementing a gradient color scheme across the user interface. Devices equipped with ColorOS 14 will witness UI components dynamically changing colors according to the time of day.

OPPO introduces new interactive bubbles similar to the Dynamic Island feature, compatible with various apps to show a small bubble indicating app activity, designed to minimize notification disruptions.
ColorOS 14 introduces a new Always-On Display (AOD) theme named GO Green, displaying dynamic nature-related images on the phone's lock screen alongside the user's daily steps and the carbon emissions saved by walking.

With the latest ColorOS 14, OPPO emphasizes AI, introducing Smart Touch that allows users to select and save text, images, and multimedia elements from third-party apps into File Dock.
File Dock enables users to share content across any app through drag and drop. OPPO also mentioned that content in File Dock can be synced across OPPO devices logged in with the same account.
Another fresh addition, Smart Image Matting, enables users to seamlessly extract multiple subjects, such as people and animals, from any static image on the screen. These cutouts can be shared across apps or used as wallpapers on the device.

Furthermore, the Trinity Engine optimization within ColorOS 14 enhances device fluidity and stability through three core components: ROM Vitalization, RAM Vitalization, and CPU Vitalization.
OPPO reveals that virtualization processes could save up to 20GB of storage space by compressing certain files. It also optimizes RAM usage with OPPO's unique technologies. Trinity Engine keeps apps in memory for over 72 hours, and its CPU activation scheduling ensures an optimal balance between battery consumption and performance.
Since ColorOS 14 is based on Android 14, it incorporates all the latest Android version's security features. Devices will prompt users for permission for any additional image access and other data when specific apps request it. OPPO has also enhanced its permission management system to focus more on privacy.
OPPO continues its collaboration with Snapchat, introducing a new lock screen shortcut for Snapchat in ColorOS 14. It also features a new widget displaying live updates from the Snapchat app, including status and location updates from close friends.
