Impressive Specifications of OPPO Reno11 Pro 5G Camera
As mentioned earlier, the camera is always one of the most invested factors by OPPO in the Reno smartphone series, and the Reno11 Pro 5G model is no exception. The camera specifications of this phone are as follows:
- Main Camera: 50 MP resolution, f/1.8 aperture, OIS image stabilization support.
- Telephoto Camera: 32 MP resolution, f/2.0 aperture.
- Ultra Wide-angle Camera: 8 MP resolution, f/2.2 aperture.
- Selfie Camera: 32 MP resolution, f/2.4 aperture.

In terms of specifications, the OPPO Reno11 Pro 5G camera doesn't bring many differences compared to its predecessor. Instead, OPPO focuses on enhancing image processing algorithms to deliver higher-quality photos. Additionally, the 32 MP telephoto camera remains a highlight on the Reno11 Pro 5G, ensuring captivating portrait shots.
The 32 MP telephoto camera on the OPPO Reno11 Pro 5G delivers high-quality portrait photos
Similar to the previous generation, the Reno11 Pro 5G continues to invest significantly in portrait photography. Following the footsteps of the 10th generation, the Reno11 Pro 5G excels in capturing portrait photos with background blur using the 32 MP telephoto camera (with two levels: 1x and 2x). This results in natural-looking photos closely resembling those taken with professional cameras.

I highly appreciate the photo quality captured by the telephoto camera on the Reno11 Pro 5G because OPPO continues to use a sensor with a large size (1/2.74 inch) for the device (similar to the previous generation, Reno10 Pro 5G). The resolution of this sensor is also higher than many other telephoto sensors currently available on the market. Photos taken with the telephoto camera of the Reno11 Pro 5G look vibrant, without excessive overexposure in complex lighting conditions.

Furthermore, the bokeh capabilities of the Reno11 Pro 5G camera are impressive as the device processes the background with depth. Photos exhibit circular bokeh effects resembling those from optical lens effects, highlighting the subject of the image. Even in low-light conditions, the 32 MP 2x telephoto camera of the OPPO Reno11 Pro 5G delivers remarkable bokeh capabilities, creating a sparkling bokeh effect with the subject completely separated from the background.

Speaking of subject recognition capabilities, OPPO has introduced an interesting feature for the Reno11 Pro 5G called Intelligent Background Separation. This feature swiftly separates the subject from the background by a simple press and hold. Subsequently, users can easily drag it into photo/video editing software or quickly share it on social media.
Beyond the ability to capture portrait photos with background blur, we can also capture high-resolution portrait photos to capture more details than the automatic mode.

For indoor lighting conditions, like the portraits below, all details on the subject's face are preserved in a harmonious photo. Additionally, I also commend the color reproduction capabilities of the OPPO Reno11 Pro 5G camera, where the colors are neither too vivid nor distorted.

Although the OPPO Reno11 Pro 5G camera has a relatively wide zoom range (from 0.6x to 20x), I believe the optimal zoom levels for capturing photos on the Reno11 Pro 5G are between 2x and 5x. The reason is that the composition of the photos will be balanced, and it's also easier to frame the subject. Meanwhile, photos taken from the zoom range of 5x to 20x exhibit graininess and lack clear details.

Additionally, the 32 MP selfie camera of the Reno11 Pro 5G continues to showcase strengths from previous generations. Selfies exhibit clear details, vibrant colors, subtly smoothed skin, and conceal minor imperfections. Moreover, the front camera of the Reno11 Pro 5G can capture portrait photos with accurate subject recognition.
In my previous review of the OPPO Reno10 Pro 5G camera, I mentioned that the front camera produced unnatural background blur photos as it relied on software processing, sometimes erasing some details in the subject's hair. However, the successor's selfie camera has improved in subject recognition and background processing.
Bright and flawless photos from the OPPO Reno11 Pro 5G camera
For landscape shots, the Reno11 Pro 5G camera produces high-quality images thanks to the OIS stabilization system, sharp details, and beautiful colors. Additionally, I tested the 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera of the Reno11 Pro 5G, and the resulting photos were quite satisfactory, with quality not significantly inferior to photos taken with the main camera.
Furthermore, the Reno11 Pro 5G also features a High-Resolution mode to maximize the potential of its 50 MP main camera. This mode offers two zoom levels: 1x (equivalent to 50 MP) and 2x (equivalent to 32 MP).

When comparing photos taken in High-Resolution mode to those in automatic mode, the difference lies only in the level of detail. In terms of photo quality, the OPPO Reno11 Pro 5G camera produces high-detail images, with effective focusing and relatively fast image processing speed.
Low-light photo captured with the OPPO Reno11 Pro 5G camera
For photos taken in low-light conditions, I assess the Reno11 Pro 5G camera's performance as acceptable, but the image encounters graininess and color inaccuracies in the sky area (shifting from black to gray). I tried using High-Resolution mode and Night mode, but the issues weren't resolved. On the positive side, the Reno11 Pro 5G camera demonstrates relatively good light source balance, and the photos don't suffer from overexposure.
However, when shooting at 2x zoom, the color accuracy of photos in High-Resolution mode is better than other modes. You can check out the images below.
Despite the drawback in low-light photography, indoor lighting conditions result in relatively good-quality photos from the OPPO Reno11 Pro 5G camera, with minimal graininess and clear details.

Conclusion
In terms of the OPPO Reno11 Pro 5G camera, I find its photography capabilities quite commendable, especially in portrait shots. Most photos exhibit clear details and harmonious colors in both well-lit and challenging lighting conditions. However, I hope OPPO can enhance the low-light photography performance through future software updates.
