Battery Saver is a handy feature introduced in the Windows 10 operating system, allowing users to define the battery level at which Battery Saver mode activates, effectively extending their device's battery life.
The primary function of this software is to restrict background applications and suppress notifications. By limiting background processes on Windows 10, users can easily extend their device's battery life. Moreover, you can configure the battery threshold for activating Battery Saver mode directly in the Windows settings.
Setting Up Battery Saver Threshold
Step 1: Access Windows Settings by clicking the Start button > Settings. Alternatively, you can quickly open it by pressing Windows + I. Keep in mind, Mytour has introduced several ways to access Settings on Windows 10, so readers can explore and choose the method that suits them best.
Step 2: Within Settings, select System.
Step 3: Next, choose Battery saver. Here, click on Battery saver settings.
Step 4: In the Battery saver settings section, simply check the box for Turn battery saver on automatically if my battery falls below.
Below that, you'll see a slider ranging from a minimum of 5% to a maximum of 100%. This slider allows you to set the battery threshold for activating Battery Saver mode. So, depending on your preference, you can adjust it accordingly.
Additionally, Battery saver settings offer two additional options: Allow push notification from any app while in battery saver and Lower screen brightness while in battery saver.
The Always allowed section lets you add more apps permitted to run in the background when activated. Simply click Add an app to include an application.
While Battery Saver and Power Options are already sufficient for easy laptop battery saving, many users may not be familiar with them. Some have grown accustomed to third-party battery-saving apps like BatteryCare or Battery Doubler. Alongside mobile apps like Battery Doctor, BatteryCare serves as a versatile and powerful computer battery management software. Once installed, users can access various features such as monitoring CPU and HDD temperature or detailed laptop battery stats.
