1. Choosing a template for your Facebook page
Each business model requires a different template, depending on your products and business method. For example, a consultant may want others to schedule appointments, a restaurant may want customers to find their location, an e-commerce business may want to sell products online, ...
Facebook offers pre-prepared templates to help you advertise your products effectively. You can go to Settings, and select Edit Page to see these templates.
Your page is often associated with a default template, but you can switch to another template specializing in:
Before selecting a different template, explore the suggested settings for that template (including tab order). Changing the template will automatically update your calls-to-action (CTAs) and toolbar buttons. Existing tabs that do not fit the new template will also be removed.
To explore various templates, click the Edit button on the right side of your current template.
In the dialog that appears, scroll down to select the appropriate template and click on View Details.
Review the suggested settings, if necessary, manually adjust before selecting that template.
Only the service and shopping templates have integrated stores. You can manually create a store for other templates by scrolling to the bottom of the page, selecting Edit Page, then choosing Add a Tab.
Then select a tab to add to your page.
2. Create CTA button
CTA is the primary action you want users to take. Do you want them to make a purchase or schedule an appointment, ...? Create the most suitable CTA button for your business.
To change the CTA button, click on your page. Then, you will see a variety of options to choose from.
- Select Book service if you provide direct services and want to optimize appointments.
- Choose Get in Touch if your business can answer questions via Facebook. The best way to win customer hearts is through direct interaction.
- Select Shop Now if you offer products available for direct ordering without extensive communication.
- Opt for Start Order if you aim to streamline delivery services.
- Choose Learn More if your offerings comprise complex, high-value products that are relatively unfamiliar to users.
After deciding on the CTA, you need to set it up. Provide a dedicated contact page for customers to send you emails.
3. Setting Up Your Store
If you're looking to sell directly on Facebook, setting up an online store is your best bet.
Head to the Shop tab to create an online store on Facebook. First, you'll need to agree to the platform's terms and business policies.
Then, choose your payment method (checkout method). You'll have 2 options: allow users to purchase directly on Facebook or direct them to your website when they click on a specific product.
Next, fill in the product description section (information about your business and products) to boost user trust.
Click on Add Products to add items to your store. You can include multiple images, pricing, a description, and a link for users to purchase the product. List products into different collections for user convenience.
After adding products, you can set up the auto-share feature on the timeline. This will help increase sales. You can edit both products and the store whenever you want.
4. Tag Products in Images and Videos
Many businesses have utilized images and videos to promote their products and services. Now, you can tag your products in posts and visual content on your page, including cover photos.
For instance, when you click on your cover photo, you'll see the option to tag products from your store. Click on the Tag Products button.
Then, click on a product in your cover photo. As you start typing the name, you'll be prompted with the product's name.
Whether or not you have your own store, you'll still see the option to tag products, but there will be a slight difference. If you have a store, you can tag products similar to tagging friends; when users click, they'll be directed to the product page you've created on Facebook.
If you don't have a store or product list, users will only see the product name when hovering over it. This is advantageous as users will have a clear idea of the product they're interested in and can search for it.
5. Display Customer Reviews
Displaying customer reviews on your Facebook page is the best way to increase sales. Customers may not necessarily trust what you say, but they want to know the opinions of other buyers.
If your product receives positive reviews, you can turn viewers into potential customers. Moreover, many even suggest your product to others and encourage them to give it a try.
To check if you've enabled reviews, go to Settings and select Edit Page. Then scroll down to the Reviews tab and click on the Settings button.
Ensure that the review section is turned on.
