Orbit Downloader has a feature to notify users when a new version is released. After a certain period of time, defaulting to 30 minutes, 1 hour, 3 hours, 5 hours, etc., the notification will automatically appear to remind you. This can be annoying if you need quiet time to focus on work.
In a series of articles introducing the features and tricks available in Orbit Downloader, Mytour has guided you on how to activate the silent download mode. In this article, we will provide another trick if you don't want Orbit Downloader to disturb you, which is to disable the new version notification.
Disable Orbit Downloader's New Version Notification
Step 1: Open Orbit Downloader, select Tools --> Preferences from the toolbar
Step 2: The Orbit Preferences window will appear, select the Software Update section.
Uncheck the 'Notify about new updates every' option to disable the notification feature for new versions.
Click OK to save the settings.
Additionally, if you want to re-enable this feature, you need to perform all the steps above and select the 'Notify about new updates every' option again. Update to the new version to support fast data downloads.
