My school has planted numerous shade trees such as phoenix trees, banyan trees, and linden trees,... But perhaps the species that I love and find most impressive is the bamboo cluster behind the school campus.

I wonder when this bamboo cluster was planted; I noticed them when I entered grade one. The bamboo trees stand straight, tall, forming a perfectly aligned row, resilient against the wind, scorching sun, or storms. The bamboo trunks are not too thick, hugging them with my arms, and their bark is dark brown. As they grow taller, the bamboo branches out into numerous small branches, each covered with dense foliage. Therefore, the area behind the courtyard is always cool and shaded thanks to the gigantic umbrellas created by the bamboo cluster.
