II. Sample Essay: Describing a Newly Planted Sapling
In response to the tree planting movement, aiming to preserve a clean and beautiful environment, students from grades four and five at our school have planted trees along the stretch of Highway 1A passing through our district. The type of tree we planted is the newly sprouted White Ebony.
Seedlings were transported to the school by forestry officials, and each class received their allocated number of trees. Each student planted two trees, with each tree spaced three meters apart. We planted the trees along the roadside. Although the seedlings are young, they have already reached a height of twenty-five centimeters.
The roots of the trees were enclosed in soil bags, and the slender trunks were as thin as the little finger. Each tree has two young green leaves, elongated in shape. We dug holes to the specified depth and then placed the trees, filling the soil and gently patting it down...(Continued)
