Every time I visit my hometown, I have the chance to admire the ancient rice plants at the village entrance. From a distance, the rice stands tall like a valiant warrior, proudly guarding the vast expanse of land protecting the villagers.
The rice plant grows over 30 meters tall, standing upright. Its trunk is thick with sharp thorns, brown in color. The rice plant grows straight and tall, branching out high above, with large rice branches extending like adult arms reaching for the sunlight. Its leaves spread out quite large, resembling duck feet, with a bluish-green color, turning yellow and shedding branches when aged.
