In stark contrast to the bustling, hurried crowd and the noisy, vibrant flow of traffic in the bustling city, the Northwestern land is remarkably simple, serene, devoid of towering buildings, and dominated by mountains. Here, winding roads, peaceful picturesque villages, surreal terraced fields, radiant smiles full of innocence and vitality, all create a Northwest that is incredibly enchanting.
Venturing into the highlands of Northwest Vietnam, one easily succumbs to the charm of the landscapes and its people. A traveler once remarked, 'Perhaps, from my very first step into the Northwest, I unwittingly bestowed my love upon this mountainous land. Coming here once, twice,... and then yearning: If only a miniature Northwest could appear in Hanoi.' Such thoughts persist as I return to the capital. The love for the grand Northwest compels me to do something.' And after many days of contemplation and preparation, that man gave birth to Rum Quán!
During its 4 years of operation, Rum Quán has carved out certain successes, recognized by many familiar patrons. Building upon its achievements and aiming to enhance service quality, the restaurant decided to rename Rum Quán to Pao Quán on the 1st day of the lunar calendar in 2018 (equivalent to September 10th of the same year in the Gregorian calendar).

When mentioning Pao Quán, many will inevitably think of the 'House of Pao,' a place chosen as the enchanting backdrop for beautiful scenes in 'The Story of Pao.' With its vintage charm, stone fences, unique architecture framed by meticulously polished stone steps, blooming peach trees, and the melodious chirping of birds on the beautiful wall, it's like a painting amidst the majestic nature of Sủng Là commune, Đồng Văn district, Hà Giang province.
