Causes of Nighttime Crying in Newborns
From 0 to 3 months of age is the period when babies cry the most at night, also known as colic or colic crying.
Babies crying at night during this time is considered a normal expression when the baby sleeps too much during the day and stays awake at night to play. When you notice signs such as restlessness, startle, vomiting, stay calm and gently comfort the baby so they can continue sleeping.
Additionally, young children often experience unexplained startle. During such times, the baby may cry for a while. Therefore, before going to sleep, mothers should prepare enough pillows and cushions for the baby to overcome the startle habit.

Many children, when exposed to strangers or playing outside, are prone to catching a cold, experiencing anxiety, or feeling panicked, leading to sleep disturbances and nighttime crying.
The solution in this situation is for the mother to comfort the child. Alternatively, placing garlic or silk cocoons at the bedside can ward off negative energy and cold drafts while the child sleeps.
