Rémi Camus (29 years old), a French adventurer, undertook the challenge of swimming along the Mekong River (covering a total distance of 4,400 km) across 5 countries. He ate and slept by the riverbanks, experiencing the magical beauty of the Mekong and urging the community to pay attention to the need for safe water for the impoverished residents alongside the river.

Rémi shares, 'The worst days were in the desert. When I ran and couldn't find a place to ask for water, there were times when I had to urinate into a bottle and drink my own urine. It was terrifying. How would people living in water-scarce areas like that cope?' Rémi and his 4 companions then collaborated to 'mod' a riverboard for Rémi's planned 4-month journey.

This riverboard journey turned him into the second person in the world to conquer a river of this length using a riverboard. The first person was Mike Horn, who used the same type of riverboard to navigate the entire Amazon River.

After over 5 months of continuous swimming and now paddling on the Cuu Long River in Vietnam, Rémi is counting the days until he reaches the East Sea.
