Peanut is resolute in beating T1 when the two teams have the chance to meet again.
In the LCK Summer 2022, the scenario remains almost unchanged compared to the previous Spring. DWG KIA (DK), despite Nuguri's return, still displays signs of instability. Meanwhile, Gen.G Esports (Gen.G) and T1 maintain their form from Spring 2022. Both these names are turning LCK Summer 2022 into a neck-and-neck race where any mistake could be an opportunity for the opponent to rise.

But there's one truth: since LCK Spring 2022, Gen.G has yet to clinch a victory against T1, even though Faker and his teammates haven't always maintained top form. This is why T1 is seen as the biggest obstacle, the most crucial opponent that Gen.G must defeat if they want to reign supreme in LCK. However, this is certainly no easy task, especially when Faker and his teammates are equally determined to seize the LCK Summer title this time around.

At present, both teams are neck and neck on the LCK Summer 2022 standings. Despite having the same 10 wins and 1 loss in a total of 11 matches played, T1 is trailing behind Gen.G due to Faker and his teammates having 8 losses compared to Gen.G's 6. However, this gap is extremely fragile, and just one loss is sufficient to push a team behind its opponent.

That's why, in a recent interview with InvenGlobal after their victory against Liiv SANDBOX (LSB), Gen.G's Jungler Peanut emphasized the significance of defeating T1: 'The standings are always changing, but I don't focus too much on that. Regardless of what happens, we have to defeat T1 to protect our top spot. Until we can defeat T1, the current first place holds no meaning. But nonetheless, I'm glad we won (LSB) 2-0.'

Peanut's statement is more than enough to indicate that the Gen.G players themselves are aware of the fragile gap between them and Faker's team. However, it's up to Peanut and his teammates to perform at their best when facing T1 if they don't want the results of their previous losses to repeat themselves.
