PERMANENTLY DELETING YOUR INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT
Note: When you delete your account, your profile, photos, videos, comments, likes, and followers will be permanently removed. After deletion, you cannot register again with the same username or add that username to another account. Additionally, a deleted account cannot be reactivated.
Step 1: To permanently delete your account, go to the following address: https://www.instagram.com/accounts/remove/request/permanent/
Afterward, log in to your Instagram account.
Step 2: On the website interface, choose a reason for deleting your account:
Step 3: After selecting the reason, you need to enter your Instagram account password and then click the Permanently delete my account button to delete your account.
TEMPORARILY DEACTIVATING YOUR INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT
If you don't want to permanently delete your Instagram account but just want to pause usage for a while, you can use the temporary deactivation feature. Here's how:
Step 1: Log in to instagram.com from your computer or mobile browser. Temporary deactivation cannot be done from the Instagram mobile app.
Then click on the icon below to access your profile page:
Step 2: On your profile page, choose Edit Profile
Step 3: In the new window, scroll down and select Temporarily disable my account.
Step 4: In this window, choose the reason for temporarily deactivating your account, then enter your password to confirm. Once you've entered the correct password, the Temporarily Disable Account button will illuminate. Press it to temporarily deactivate your account.
After deactivation, your profile, photos, comments, and likes will be hidden until you reactivate your account by logging in again.
