This article introduces you to the PHI function - one of the widely used statistical functions in Excel.

Description: Returns the value of the density function for a standardized normal distribution. Supported from Excel 2013 onwards.
Syntax: PHI(x)
In this context:
- x: The value to determine the standardized normal distribution, a mandatory parameter.
Note:
- If x is not a numeric value -> the function returns an error value #VALUE!
- If x is an invalid numerical value -> the function returns an error value #NUM!
Example:
Calculate the value of the density function for a standardized normal distribution as described in the data table below:

- In the cell for calculation, enter the formula: =PHI(C6)

- Press Enter-> the value of the standardized density function for 0.25 is:

- Similarly, copy the formula for the remaining values to get the result:

- If x is not a numeric value -> the function returns an error value #VALUE!

Here is a guide and some specific examples of using the PHI function in Excel.
Wishing you all success!
