Starting February 10th, tourists from 157 countries and territories, including Vietnam, who have received both doses of the Covid-19 vaccine, can enter the Philippines without the need for quarantine.

The announcement was made by the government on January 28th. The conditions to qualify for this policy include receiving two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine and having a negative nCoV test result upon entry.
The country, consisting of over 7,000 islands, had planned to reopen in December, but the emergence of the Omicron variant led to the cancellation of this plan.

Philippines Tourism Secretary Berna Romulo-Puyat stated: “This move will significantly contribute to economic recovery. It will provide employment for the locals, who heavily rely on tourism, and reopen businesses that were previously closed.”

Philippines, a country renowned for its white sandy beaches and rich marine biodiversity, along with other Southeast Asian countries, reopens its doors to tourists to boost employment and aid in their economic recovery.
