Phu Yen - Embracing the First Rays of Sunshine on Mainland Vietnam
Nestled between the tourism giants of Khanh Hoa and Binh Dinh, Phu Yen remained hidden from the travel maps for quite some time until it caught the attention of many after the movie “The Scent of Green Papaya”.
The natural landscapes of Phu Yen are beautifully simple, its locals warm-hearted, and its cuisine rich in flavor. Due to tourism not yet fully flourishing, many areas in this province still retain a raw charm, with limited infrastructure and accommodation facilities. Yet, this is precisely what attracts those who seek unspoiled natural beauty, devoid of the intrusive hands of human exploitation, to pack their backpacks and venture forth.
