What makes visiting Pindaya Cave in Myanmar special?
The Buddha statues inside the cave

Pindaya Cave, when viewed from the outside, resembles a temple with numerous Buddha statues of all sizes,... All meticulously painted in dazzling gold, totaling over 8000 statues spread evenly across 150m inside the cave. Each statue tells a story that the people, devout Buddhists, want to convey, expressing reverence and love for the Buddha. The pathways are lined with anti-slip carpets. Handrails are installed on all stairs. Beneath each statue, a few lines are inscribed, speaking of the merits of those who crafted the statues, like a profound expression of gratitude.

– When entering the cave, remember to remove your shoes and socks. This is a common practice in Pindaya as well as other temples in Myanmar.
– Due to the cave's poor ventilation, visitors are advised to limit candle lighting. Instead, sincerely pray and pay homage.
