'The Hangout of Youth', 'Awaits Someone', or 'Three Meals a Day' are the names that pique curiosity to visit in Dalat.
Places to Check Out When Traveling to Dalat
Dalat has always been a dreamy destination with enchanting names, a place where people retreat whenever their souls crave tranquility. Dubbed as the 'City of Thousands of Flowers', it has also been chosen as the backdrop for many films about love and youth. Cinema enthusiasts nowadays are captivated by the stunning scenes in 'Glorious Months' filmed in Dalat, featuring romantic slopes and poetic lakes, encapsulating the youth of many.
When visiting Dalat, travelers will never feel bored as there are constantly new and intriguing destinations being added. Each place has its own beauty and stories, with even the names themselves arousing curiosity.
The Hangout of Youth

Perched atop the slope of Triệu Việt Vương Street lies a quaint little spot with a truly unique name – “Youthful Essence Café” - a name that exudes poetry at its core. The place started gaining attention after the owner's heartfelt message spread across social media: “Today, everyone's heading back home. If you drop by, just come in and make yourself at home! If you want anything, feel free to take it. The prices are all set. There's a wooden crate by the small kitchen, just leave the money in there! Anything you need, just give us a call. Have a really joyful week.”
Just that much is enough to make one want to swing by and experience the feeling of being 'natural as at home' or to rediscover the 'youthful days' gone by. The café boasts a charming design with numerous small potted plants, a tiny garden area, vines creeping along the house veranda, old-fashioned window frames with adorable floral curtains. The menu is handwritten, accompanied by many endearing messages from the owner to their very special guests.

In reality, this is not simply a coffee or tea shop but a social project for young people who are unfortunate to be unable to hear and speak, helping them have the opportunity to work and communicate with others. Many products such as soap, essential oils... are all handmade by them. Additionally, many of the café staff are volunteers, giving up urban life to experience the tranquility of Da Lat.
If you ever visit Da Lat, give it a shot and drop by to savor a small piece of cake, sip on bitter tea, and enjoy this simple, rustic natural setting.
Three Meals A Day Rice Eatery

Unlike the romanticism of the above two spots, “Three Meals A Day Rice Eatery” brings forth a warm, familial atmosphere that many have long ceased to experience. With its nostalgic design from the 1980s, this small rice eatery evokes childhood memories with its glass cabinet, bamboo dining set, vintage black and white TV, corn laid out to dry by the veranda, and a legendary old Cub 81 motorcycle parked outside the door.
The dishes here are also very simple, carrying the essence of the countryside with specialties like braised fish in clay pot, caramelized pork with eggs, boiled vegetables, fried tofu, sour soup, pickled eggplant... presented beautifully in traditional bowls and chopsticks 'from centuries past'. On the fifteenth day of the lunar month, the eatery also offers vegetarian dishes such as tofu braised with mushrooms or tomato sauce, stir-fried bamboo shoots with mushrooms, stir-fried bean sprouts with mushrooms, vegetarian fried spring rolls, chive soup... The menu of main courses also changes daily, providing a feeling of dining at home rather than in a high-end restaurant with excessive feasting. The portion size for each dish is just right, small and lovely, not too much so you won't feel too full or wasteful.

Waiting for Someone

Amidst a forest of homestays sprouting up like mushrooms in Da Lat in recent years, the name “Waiting for Someone” stands out, leaving a lasting impression. While lacking overly striking interiors, this homestay boasts a prime location, coupled with a name that stirs nostalgia for visiting guests.
Located on Khởi Nghĩa Bắc Sơn Street, in Da Lat City, just a 5-minute ride from Xuan Huong Lake by motorbike, all bedrooms offer a 'dominant' view, overlooking pine hills or coffee gardens, through large glass windows, welcoming ample natural light. Right from the bed, just pull the curtains, and you can already catch a glimpse of a refreshing green space, looking down into the vast valley.

“Waiting for Someone” features a predominant white and yellow color scheme, creating a bright, modern ambiance, along with nearly 100% wooden furniture, evoking a rustic, simple charm. The most beloved area in “Waiting for Someone” is the space where people can sit for hours reading books or savoring some fragrant hot tea, gazing in all directions.
With only 4 rooms available, successfully booking here is not a simple matter. Each room is equipped with tea and lemongrass essential oil to create a very pleasant aroma. Come here on a beautiful sunny day, wake up early to catch the sunrise amidst the veils of mist over the forests of Lam Dong.
