Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 is not just a simulation game that provides a realistic flying experience, but also a place for us to fly and admire scenery thanks to detailed and realistic terrain graphics. The image above shows the 'Bliss' hill - the iconic Windows XP wallpaper captured by a reddit user in the game.
This hill is located in Sonoma County, California, and the legendary Windows XP wallpaper was taken by photographer Charles O'Rear (pictured) in 1996. The hill was lush green, with a blue sky and many clouds.
From the same angle and composition, a reddit user captured the hill again, but this time the in-game graphics show the hill looking more barren and desolate. However, it can be seen that the hill truly exists in the game, with the grass graphics resembling real grass, partly explaining why this game requires 2 data streams for satellite images from Bing Maps.Source: Notebookcheck
