Facebook is currently the largest virtual social network, providing numerous conveniences for people to interact with each other whether near or far. Recently, Facebook has been experimenting with a new feature, allowing users to post updates in multiple languages.
Up until now, this feature seems to have been further refined, yet for some reason, the world's largest social media platform hasn't officially announced it. In fact, posting multilingual statuses on Facebook is currently hidden, and to use it, users need to activate the multilingual option in Facebook beforehand. Writing such a status is simple with a few small steps, as outlined below by Mytour, which will help you post statuses in multiple languages on Facebook effortlessly.
Guide to posting multilingual statuses on Facebook.
Step 1: Log in to your Facebook account using a web browser.
Step 2: From the Facebook interface, click on the arrow icon at the top right corner of your profile page and select Settings.
Step 3: Choose the Language option from the left column.
Step 4: In the right column, locate and click on the Multilingual Posts section, check the box for Write posts in more than one language, then press the Save changes button as shown below.
Step 5: Return to your profile page, click on the status update box, and you'll see an option called Write posts in more than one language appear right below the bottom right corner of the composer.
Clicking on this option allows you to change the default language, add a second language, and create a different version for your status using the selected languages.
You just need to write the status in the default language, and Facebook will automatically translate it into the languages you've chosen, similar to how you use Google Translate.
After you click the Post button, Facebook will display your status content in the language corresponding to the language that your friends or followers have set for their profiles. For example, here I tried writing in Arabic, and when displayed on another friend's profile with Arabic set as their default language, it will appear as shown below.
Above is the entire process of how to post multilingual statuses on Facebook. Hopefully, this method will help you relax and bring a fresh, new perspective to your profile.
In addition, posting stickers on Facebook is also quite fun and amusing. Posting Facebook statuses with stickers, a new feature recently introduced by Facebook on the iOS version, will add a lively, illustrative touch to your stories.
