Guide to Inserting Audio in PowerPoint
For PowerPoint 2003
Step 1: Choose the slide where you want to insert audio. Then, go to Insert, select Movies and Sounds, and choose Sound from File…
Step 2: When the Insert Sound window appears, locate the path containing the file you want to insert, then press OK.
Step 3: A dialog box will appear, asking you to choose the appearance of the inserted audio file.
- Select Automatically if you want it to play automatically when you start the slide show.
- Choose When Clicked if you prefer it to play when you click the speaker icon on the slide.
For PowerPoint 2007
Step 1: Click on the Insert tab, select the small arrow in the bottom corner of the Sound icon. Then, choose Sound from File.
Step 2: The Insert Sound window appears. Locate the audio file you want to insert, click on it, and then press OK. Alternatively, double-click the file to proceed with the insertion.
Step 3: Choose the appearance options for the audio file as instructed above.
For PowerPoint 2010 and 2013, you can follow a similar process as in PowerPoint 2007.
