In the last months of pregnancy, moms often experience intense itching. Applying bitter melon or bitter gourd water to the skin guarantees complete relief within just 4 days.
Hello moms, I'm Huyen My, mom of Baby Cheese. Don't know about you, but starting from the 6th month, I had insane itching, unbearable to the point of scratching the skin and even causing bleeding. The more I scratched, the itchier it became, spreading from the belly to the hips, buttocks, and both legs.
Being pregnant and itchy made it even harder for me to sleep, scratching all night without any relief. I didn't dare to use medication for fear of affecting the baby, so I gritted my teeth and endured. Recently, my neighbor shared a remedy using bitter melon, also known as bitter gourd. After 4 days, the itching completely disappeared, and my skin became smooth again.
1. Ingredients for treating pregnancy red rashes
- Wild bitter melon or bitter gourd (use leaves, stems, and fruit, not just the fruit)
- 500 ml of water
- A handful of sea salt
Note: Bitter melon is often sprayed with pesticides nowadays, so mothers should find a clean source to purchase it. Buying it in the countryside is even better, or else a healthy pig may turn into a country pig.

Bitter melon or bitter gourd is the main ingredient for treating red rashes during pregnancy itching. Mothers should buy bitter melon from reputable places because it is heavily sprayed with pesticides nowadays.
2. Steps to treat pregnancy red rashes
Step 1: Cleanse the leaves, stems, and bitter melon fruit, then cut them into small pieces. Each time, use approximately 0.5kg of the mentioned ingredients.
Step 2: Prepare a pot with 500ml of water and bring all the mentioned ingredients to a boil.
Step 3: Condense it to about 1 bowl of water, then add sea salt and stir well (add salt while the water is still hot).

3. How to use the remedy for pregnancy red rashes
Every day, moms soak a towel in bitter melon water, then apply it to the itchy area, and finally, take a clean water bath. Moms who scratch too much and have cracked skin can grit their teeth and apply it, a bit painful but worth it. Endure the pain to apply it, and the next day the itchiness is completely relieved.
Three times a day, and just after 4 days, the itchiness is gone completely. The wounds from excessive scratching no longer fester or turn red. Pregnant women should avoid taking medicine to protect their health and the life of the baby, so we really need safe and effective folk remedies. Any mom who experiences itchiness during pregnancy, like Mom Cheese, should apply this remedy right away.
Since applying this remedy, I am itch-free, sleep well, and have a relaxed mind. Gave birth to a healthy baby weighing 3.6kg. Wishing all moms successful application of my little tip.
