- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 900g shoulder meat, cut into checkered squares
- ¼ cup white vinegar
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 6 cloves minced garlic
- 1 bay leaf (purchased from the supermarket)
- 2 teaspoons black peppercorns
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 2 cups water
Instructions:
Step 1: Heat vegetable oil in a pot, then add pork and brown on all sides.
Step 2: Add vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, bay leaf, peppercorns, sugar, and water. Bring to a boil.
Step 3: Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 1 hour. Uncover and simmer for an additional 30 minutes until the sauce reduces.
Serve the vinegar braised pork hot with steamed white rice!
