Hello, ma'am and everyone. My name is Tuan Kiet. In today's Speaking and Listening class, on behalf of group 3, I will present our thoughts on the issue 'Is Captain Nemo a Good or Bad Person?'
After studying the text 'The Black River,' do we think: Is Captain Nemo a good or bad person?
Facing this issue, the members of group 3 believe that Captain Nemo is a good person. When the ship, Lincoln, collided with a sea monster and sank, Professor Arronax, Conseil, and Ned Land fell into the sea. At that moment, all three were in danger, even facing death. However, they were rescued by the Nautilus ship. The captain of the ship was Nemo himself. Nemo saved all three from certain death in the nick of time.
Not only did he save them from death, but the captain also warmly welcomed the three guests. He provided them with food and shelter. Despite being strangers, he saved and treated them well. Through this, we perceive Captain Nemo as a good person.
Group 3's presentation concludes here. I would like to thank you, ma'am, and everyone for listening.
