Compose a Summary on Vocabulary (continued), ultra-short 2
Câu 1: A notable distinction between the two versions lies in nodding in the first version and bowing in the second.
- Nodding: bowing the head down and immediately raising it, often used for greetings or expressing agreement.
- Bowing: nodding gently and repeatedly, indicating an attitude of agreement or approval.
In this context, the term 'bowing' better conveys the intended meaning: although the dish is very flavorful, the poor couple finds it delicious because they know how to share simple joys in life.
Câu 2: The wife doesn't understand the meaning of the phrase 'only one striker.' This expression signifies that the entire team has only one skilled goal scorer.
Câu 3: Literal use of words like mouth, feet, and hands. The term 'shoulder' (in 'His shirt torn at the shoulder') and 'head' ('Moonlight hangs like a gun's head') is used metaphorically. 'Shoulder' is employed as a metonymy (shoulder of a person -> shoulder of a shirt), and 'head' is used as a metaphor (human head -> gun head, with the implied meaning of the upper part).
Câu 4: Words like (red) garment, (green) tree, (pink) glow; the glow (pink), fire, burn, and ashes form two vocabulary fields: a color vocabulary field and a fire-related vocabulary field. The words in these two fields have a close relationship. The red dress of the girl ignites a fire in the eyes of the boy (and others), and that fire spreads within him, making him enraptured, ecstatic (to the point of possibly turning into ashes), and extending into space, also transforming the space (The green tree also glows in pink).
Thanks to the artful use of words, as analyzed, the poem has constructed vivid images that leave a strong impression on the reader, thereby expressing a unique and passionate love.
