Provide some speech topics as instructed by the teacher
1. Narrate a visit to the family of a fallen soldier (narrate to mother):
Today is Veterans and Martyrs Day. Our school's Pioneer Youth Team, along with the school's leadership board, visited Mrs. M's family. She has a husband and two sons who sacrificed themselves during the resistance against America. I am the team leader, Mom.
The group consists of 15 members including the Principal, some Youth Team leaders, and representatives from the local authorities. We departed from the Ward People's Committee Headquarters. When we arrived at Mrs. M's house, she was sweeping the yard early in the morning. Mrs. M's family now consists only of her. Her husband was a cadre who sacrificed himself on the battlefield in B. Her two sons successively joined the army to fight, one died in the South and one died in the N zone. Currently, only the eldest son's remains have been found. Left alone, Mrs. M has to take care of herself on her small piece of land, in her small lonely house.
Upon arriving home, Mother greeted Đoàn with joy. The Chairman of the Committee explained the purpose of the visit, lit incense for Mother's husband and two children, and presented gifts to her on Veterans and Martyrs Day. Mother teared up, thanking Đoàn. I approached Mother again, inquiring about her health and wishing her a long life. Mother M replied, thanking Đoàn wholeheartedly.
The brief visit was short but deeply touching. I reflected on the sacrifices of the soldiers who have given their lives for our country, allowing us to enjoy activities in peace today. I felt compelled to study hard to deserve the titles of Excellence Student and Good Child.
2. Describe a trip to the city (tell a friend)
Hey L! By chance, I got to visit the city during summer when Dad went to work in Hanoi. It was my first time visiting Hanoi and also to see my aunt living there.
I've always dreamt of going to Hanoi, so I was ecstatic this time. Dad and I boarded the train from Huế at 3:30 in the afternoon. Since the train journey to Hanoi was overnight, I slept through most of it and couldn't really see anything outside the train. Plus, it was dark, so there wasn't much to see! The train passed through Đồng Hới, Hà Tĩnh, Nghệ An and it was just getting bright when we reached Hanoi. I was eagerly waiting to arrive in Hanoi. By noon the next day, we were in Hanoi and went straight to my aunt's house.
Dad was busy with meetings, so my aunt assigned her college-aged son to guide me around the city. I got to see Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum, watch a circus at Lenin Park, stroll around Hoan Kiem Lake, and explore the streets of Hanoi. I didn't expect our capital to be so vast and magnificent. Everywhere I looked, there were new skyscrapers. The streets were bustling with people, and at one point, we got stuck in traffic for an hour!
Two days felt too short compared to my dream. But Hanoi has left a deep impression on me as a heroic, cultural, and peaceful capital.
