Students are encouraged to find stories outside their textbooks. They can retell tales like Trương Cảm's adventure in Bạch Mã National Park, where he communicates with birds, or the account of a dog rescuing its owner in 'Call of the Wild' by Jack London.
If they can't find one, they can narrate stories like 'The Frog Who Sued the Sky', 'The Neighbor's Dog', or 'The Friendly Neighbor' that they've encountered.
