II. Reference presentation on opinions about community volunteerism:
Hello teacher and classmates. Here, I present my views on community volunteerism.
In life, humans need compassion and altruism. 'Living in life, we need a heart' - a simple lyric speaks about love in the lives of the Vietnamese people. With deep human love, many philanthropists have organized warm volunteer activities to share with those facing difficulties.
So, what is charitable activity? Charitable activity is an action to support people in difficult circumstances in life that they cannot change themselves. Charitable activities can take many forms of contribution: books, notebooks, clothes, ... donation of money, items to charitable organizations for humanitarian purposes. Some charitable activities in our country are still often seen such as: donating to support flood victims, supporting victims of Agent Orange, supporting young children with congenital heart defects, ...
So what is the significance of charitable activities? Those charitable activities contribute to solving part of the economic difficulties for people in disaster-prone areas, those suffering from serious illnesses and poverty... These are noble gestures, reflecting the good traditions of our people, contributing to making society more humane.
However, some people have exploited volunteer activities, taking advantage of the trust of philanthropists to embezzle assets, making those in need even more deprived. Those behaviors deserve condemnation.
I think that we should frequently organize volunteer activities, join hands to help those in difficult circumstances, making our country even more beautiful. As students, we can help those in need through small actions such as: donating books, old clothes to less fortunate students.
Thank you, teacher and classmates, for your attention!
