1. Narrate a visit to the family of a lone martyr (tell your mom):
Today is the day to honor war invalids and martyrs. The school's Young Pioneers brigade, along with the school's leadership, visited the family of Mrs. M, who lost her husband and two sons during the resistance against the U.S. I am the brigade leader, and I went with the delegation, Mom.
The delegation consists of 15 members, including the school's administration, some brigade leaders, and representatives of the local authorities. The delegation departed from the Ward Committee headquarters. Upon arriving at Mrs. M's house, the mother was cleaning the yard, even though it was early in the morning. The mother's family now consists only of her. Her husband sacrificed himself on the B battlefield. Her two sons successively joined the military and died—one in the southern battlefield and the other in the N region. Currently, only the remains of the eldest son have been found. Left alone, the mother has to manage her life in her small, lonely house.
Upon arrival, the mother joyfully welcomed the delegation. The Chairman of the Ward Committee explained the purpose of the visit, lit incense for the husband and two sons, and presented a gift to the mother on the occasion of the Day for War Invalids and Martyrs. The mother shed tears of gratitude, thanking the delegation. I approached my mother, inquired about her health, and wished her a long life. Mother M thanked the entire delegation.
Although the visit was brief, it was very moving. I thought about the contributions of the soldiers who sacrificed themselves for the country and the people, allowing us to enjoy activities in peace today. I feel the need to study hard to deserve the titles of Excellent Student and Filial Child.
2. Narrate a trip to the city (tell your friend):
Hey, L! I happened to go to the city in the summer when Dad went to work in Hanoi. It was my first time going to Hanoi to explore the city and visit my aunt there.
For a long time, I've been dreaming of going to Hanoi, and this time, I was incredibly happy. My dad and I took the train from Hue at 3:30 in the afternoon. Since the train to Hanoi was overnight, I slept and nodded off, so I didn't see anything on both sides of the train. Besides, it was dark, so even if I looked, I couldn't see anything! The train passed through Dong Hoi, Ha Tinh, and Nghe An, just as it was getting light. I was so anxious to get to Hanoi. The next noon, I arrived in Hanoi and went to my aunt's house with my dad.
My dad was busy with a meeting, so my aunt assigned her college student son to guide me around the city. I got to visit Uncle Ho's Mausoleum, go to Lenin Park to watch a circus, stroll around Ho Guom Lake, and tour Hanoi's streets. I never expected our capital to be so large and magnificent. Everywhere you look, there are new high-rise buildings. The streets are crowded, and there were times I got stuck in traffic for an hour!
The two days were really short compared to my dream. But Hanoi left a deep impression in my mind about a heroic, cultural, and peaceful capital.
