Every year, Samsung never fails to deliver excitement at Galaxy Unpacked. In just a few days, the first Galaxy Unpacked event of 2024 will take place. The official teaser has already sparked a lot of intriguing information, arousing curiosity among tech lovers. Let's predict what will make users say WOW!
From Samsung's firsts to the Era of Galaxy AI
Through the official teaser of the Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event, we can easily see the complete process of creativity, refinement, and transformation from Samsung's phones. The emotions from the old days' phones, the first products of Samsung, helped to drastically change the mobile market.
From the SH100 box phone (1988) to the first smartphone (2009 - Samsung Galaxy) laying the foundation for the current Galaxy empire; from breakthrough products leaving a mark that changed the entire industry like AMOLED screens on phones (2009) to the water-resistant smart Galaxy S5 (2014),...
It can be said that the revolutions Samsung has created have contributed to shaping, laying the foundation for a vast, diverse yet unified mobile market as it is today. It's not an exaggeration to say that Galaxy products have always and will continue to steer this industry.

Thanks to these pioneering efforts, we can see Samsung's seriousness, daring to think and act, and executing meticulously. The sweet fruit of these efforts is the measurable successes, the values that can be named, and a position that is hard to surpass.
Whether pioneering or redefining, success remains the ultimate goal that every manufacturer strives for. With the ambition to break new ground with the Galaxy AI hashtag, will there be any surprises on the upcoming New Galaxy to be unveiled at the imminent Galaxy Unpacked?

Galaxy AI - the new era of artificial intelligence on smartphones, what fresh innovations will it bring? Will it be a bold pioneer or will it redefine existing concepts?
With AI (artificial intelligence) gaining prominence in recent years and the emphasis on powerful processing algorithms, NPU clusters on chips, and the promotion of optimized scene cameras... it seems that Samsung's next direction will heavily focus on integrating AI processing into the camera's ISP processing system.
Zoom with Galaxy AI feature is set to debut on the New Galaxy. Source: SamsungSpeaking of expectations and predictions as a somewhat fanciful samfan like myself regarding new products, I always envision the New Galaxy's camera being able to zoom beyond the 100X threshold found on the Galaxy S23 Ultra, reaching 120X or even 150X, while simultaneously upgrading to a 1,000-megapixel resolution, featuring top-notch stabilization even when shooting in low light,... so that I can use it as a replacement for a professional camera.
I even envision the New Galaxy having a unique camera design with 8 cameras split into 4 corners, ensuring sharp images regardless of how the phone is positioned. As for the front camera, it would integrate a flash for low-light selfies, or record videos up to 8K / 120fps, setting a new standard in the current smartphone world,...
However, a more realistic perspective is needed, isn't it?
Last year, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra with its 'night vision camera' for impressive low-light photography. With a resolution of up to 200 MP, it combines 16 pixels into 1 large pixel to capture more light, sharp details, and stability in low-light conditions.
Therefore, I believe that the New Galaxy 2024 this year will enhance its 'night vision camera' capabilities, for example: integrating an infrared camera to help users detect objects in the dark, enhance portrait details, remove objects in both photos and videos, or actively capture the sound of the subject being recorded,...
Samsung has also released a new video on YouTube showcasing the new features of the ISOCELL 200 MP sensor expected to appear on the New Galaxy.
Specifically, Samsung has introduced the new Zoom Anyplace feature allowing the device to automatically track objects in videos while still capturing the entire scene with a cropped frame. When this feature is activated, the camera will record two video streams in 4K quality, one stream in the cropped area and one in the original scene.

Additionally, the Zoom Anyplace feature operates smoothly at both 2x and 4x zoom levels. Thanks to advanced AI technology, this feature will automatically track and maintain focus on subjects in videos from any direction, including approaching the lens.

This technology utilizes AI to process all steps such as color, tone, noise reduction, sharpening, HDR, color correction, white balance, and shadow adjustment simultaneously. This contrasts with the traditional method of processing images step by step.

However, Samsung stated that all features are for illustrative purposes only. According to previous leaks, it's highly likely that the New Galaxy will be equipped with these outstanding features as the device has been confirmed to have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip and a 200 MP camera.
Aside from the camera, personally, I expect this iteration to integrate AI more deeply into user interaction and smartphone usage at the current time, such as resource management, prioritizing important tasks, or even managing data leaks and providing deeper device status warnings.

If so, with the New Galaxy generation, Samsung may redefine how AI operates on smartphones today.
Who knows what's coming soon, just receiving a message and the keyboard system will automatically compose a reply, or when receiving an email, the system will suggest information files, content needed for response, sounds quite intriguing, doesn't it?
Let's wait and see...

Source: SamsungThrough the initial teasers, Samsung wants us to reflect on the company's pioneering journey, the successes brought about by past innovations. And the next generation of Galaxy will inherit and redefine what we've had, to further enhance and perfect.
The camera and AI features will be the main highlights for the New Galaxy generation, but what are those features, what improvements are still intriguing mysteries awaiting users on the night of January 18, 2024, at Galaxy Unpacked 2024.
