Outline: Present a cultural destination in your area
Esteemed teacher and dear classmates, I present to you my discourse on a cultural landmark in my hometown. I hope you will lend me your attentive ears.
Dear teacher and beloved classmates, Cổ Loa Citadel stands as an unmissable cultural gem when visiting Hanoi. Built during the era of An Dương Vương, despite enduring the ravages of time and human intervention over millennia, its inherent values remain intact.
In remembrance of King Hùng and those who contributed to the nation, on the 6th day of the Lunar New Year every year, the people of Bát Xã region come together to celebrate the Cổ Loa Festival. The festival is divided into two main parts: the ceremonial section and the festive section.
The ceremonial section is further divided into the procession to An Dương Vương Temple and the deity procession. Both rituals take place in the early morning of the 6th day of the Lunar New Year. During the procession to An Dương Vương Temple, villagers complete the religious ceremonies before offering sacrifices at the altar of An Dương Vương.
The divine procession is considered the most anticipated activity of the Co Loa Festival. During this ceremony, sturdy young men in the village don red robes, with matching headscarves, carrying the royal palanquin housing the king's ancestral tablets.
Following the procession, locals and tourists alike immerse themselves in the artistic atmosphere of various performances. It could be melodious singing, echoing the sentiment of Quan Ho melodies, or the astonishing transformations and skills of water puppeteers. Additionally, there are countless prominent traditional games such as human chess, wrestling, archery, and more.
It can be said that the Co Loa Festival not only brings the lively atmosphere of spring but also serves as an occasion for future generations to express gratitude and remembrance to those who contributed to the nation, embodying the tradition of 'remembering the source.' The Co Loa Festival will always be an indispensable cultural beauty in the spiritual life of the Vietnamese people.
My presentation concludes here! I thank you and everyone for your attentive listening!
