Recently, the first official press image of the Galaxy Z Fold5 was unexpectedly shared on online platforms. This allows us to get a close-up view of the phone's design.
Galaxy Z Fold5As you can see, the new press image of the Galaxy Z Fold5 indicates that the phone will have a design that is not significantly different from the previous generation. The device still features a horizontally folding screen, a rear camera array arranged vertically, and a new hinge design that makes the device thinner and gapless when folded.
Additionally, the presence of the S Pen in the image suggests that the Z Fold5 will also support this accessory. However, the stylus will need to be purchased separately as Samsung will not include it with the Galaxy Z Fold5. Other elements such as the external speaker, microphone position,... seem to be in the same location as the Z Fold4.
Based on current information, the Galaxy Z Fold5 is set to utilize the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. It will feature a 7.6-inch folding display with Quad-HD+ resolution and a 6.2-inch Full-HD+ external screen. The device is also rumored to come with a 4,400mAh battery supporting 45W fast charging.
Samsung has confirmed an Unpacked event on July 27th in Seoul, South Korea, where the company will undoubtedly unveil the Galaxy Z Fold5 alongside the Galaxy Z Flip5. According to reports, this new lineup of foldable smartphones will be available for purchase on August 11th.
