Typically, users install iTunes to transfer music and videos to their iPhones. However, after installing iTunes, by default, the software automatically syncs data between the computer and the device after each connection. First, you need to download iTunes to your computer.

By default, the interface does not display the options menu. You can use the shortcut combination Alt + shortcut key to open the menu, for example Alt + E to open the Edit menu, and this is what you need. Here you find and click Preferences to open the familiar iTunes Preferences.
- For Mac users:
Simply click on iTunes from the menu, then select Preferences.
Step 3: From the Options tab, click on Devices.
Step 4: Check the option Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically.
Step 5: Finally, click on OK and restart iTunes to apply the changes.
This method helps prevent iTunes from automatically syncing when connecting iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch, causing inconvenience because sometimes you don't want to sync anything at all.
In most cases, you will notice that iTunes will not activate automatically after you connect the devices.
One thing to note is that from now on, if you want to sync data with your computer, you will have to do it manually.
